RotwandThis climbing path leads across the northern ridge to the peak of the Rotwand, which is the main summit of the southern Rosengarten group (2,608 metres). Starting point is the Paolina hut. Walk up to the Vaiolon Pass, from where the climbing path begins, that leads you to the Rotwand. For the descent, there are a number of variants you can choose from:
- descend to the Rotwand hut (secured path) or just below the Fensterle tower.
- continuation of the Masarè climbing path and return journey to the Paolina hut - path marking number 539.
The grade of difficulty is medium to difficult and is passable with suitable equipment.
For the climbing path Santner Pass, take the chair lift facility to the Rosengarten hut (formerly the Cologne hut - 2,339 metres) and begin your ascent from there. After approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours, you will reach the Santner Pass hut (2,734 metres). The return journey is either on the same path or on path number 542 via the Gartl hut back to the Vajolet hut. Follow path number 541 and 550 across the Tschagerjoch and back to the Rosengarten hut. Path number 542s.
Grade of difficulty is medium to difficult and can only be walked with suitable equipment.
The Kesselkogel mountain (3,004 metres) is the highest part of the Rosengarten group and is known to be one of the most beautiful lookout points in the Dolomites. The peak of the Kesselkogels can be reached over the ascent in the West or in the East. However, the Eastern ascent is much more difficult. It is secured with ladders and steel ropes, but is not too difficult to conquer. The starting point is the Grasleiten Pass hut (2,599 metres).
Grade of difficulty: in the West - medium / in the East - medium to difficult.
This climbing path is adjacent to the Rotwand climbing path in the south and leads you from the Rotwand hut in the direction of the Fensterle tower, via the Teufelswand (approx. 2,700 metres) up to the Punta Masarè (2,585 metres). From here, descend to the Rotwand hut. This is a very special climbing path, which is worth trying. The starting point for this medium to difficult climbing path (which is only suitable with climbing equipment) is the Rotwand hut (2,280 metres).

At the Karer Pass, you can find a beautiful climbing garden, which is situated just below the Nigerstrasse. There are different routes with different grades of difficulty in order to prepare yourself for demanding mountain tours.
Just below the Langkofel mountain at the Sella Pass is a climbing garden with breath-taking views. Surrounded by the Dolomite mountains, insiders know the stony city mostly as a boulder area. From Welschnofen via the Karer Pass into the Fassa Valley, always follow the Dolomite Road, and then head in the direction of Cortina d'Ampezzo. After half an hour, you will reach the Sellajoch! Good luck!
