Hike to the
Tschafonhütte mountain hut

This tour begins at the Weißlahnbadl car park in Tiers/Tires. The hike follows route number 4A through forests and over meadows to the extensive Wuhnleger mountain pasture, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of both the Latemar mountain and the Rosengarten massif. You can then follow route number 4 into the forest, from which you also get a great mountain view through the trees. Then, 600 metres higher, you’ll arrive at the Tschafonhütte mountain hut, where you’ll find great food and interesting history, as the hut has been there for over 100 years. Bonus tip: you can also hike for 20 more minutes up to the Völsegg viewpoint if you like! The roughly 8km tour lasts around three hours with an elevation gain of 600 metres. You’ll take the same route to get back.
